A rich history
of serving rural New Mexico
Ag New Mexico,
FCS, ACA has been making production loans to farmers and ranchers
since it was first chartered in 1934. At that time, the cooperative
association was known as Clovis Production Credit Association (PCA).
In 1984, Clovis PCA merged with other associations to become the
PCA of Eastern New Mexico. Sixteen years later, in July 2000, the
association changed its name to Ag New Mexico, and one year later,
merged with the PCA of New Mexico - previously Albuquerque PCA -
and converted from a PCA to an Agricultural Credit Association (ACA).
The association's
status as an ACA expanded its lending programs to include long-term
mortgage loans in addition to short-term production loans. The Association is able to make loans across the entire state of New Mexico from its headquarters in Clovis and branch offices in Belen and Roswell.
Member-owned
and -directed
As a credit
cooperative, Ag New Mexico is owned by its borrowers and managed
by a customer-elected board of directors. When you receive an ACA
loan, you also become a stockholder, which entitles you to vote
on the board of directors and on important co-op issues. No other
type of lender offers that advantage.
Part of the
Tenth Farm Credit District
Ag New Mexico
is part of the nationwide Farm Credit System, which was established
by Congress to provide American agriculture with a dependable source
of credit. The cooperative lending institution also is a proud member
of the Tenth Farm Credit District, which encompasses New Mexico,
Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. |
